VARIS™ – the modular inverter system 'made by GVA'

 

With its modular inverter system VARIS™, GVA promotes sustainability through standardisation and cost-effectiveness. The modular approach also offers the flexibility needed to meet a wide range of application requirements.

Technical details:

  • IGBT modules in PrimePACK® housing
  • IGBT voltage classes: 1200 V or 1700 V
  • IGBT current classes: up to 1400 A
  • Capacity of the capacitors: up to 3900 µF per module (can be extended via external capacitor bank)
  • Parallel connection of modules
  • Air- or water-cooled

IPSS – the inductive power supply system 'made by GVA'

 

The inductive power supply system IPSS enables the isolated supply of modules at different electrical potentials, e.g. for control modules in high voltage applications or power semiconductors connected in series. It is available as an individual component or supplemented by decoupling units or thyristor ignition modules.

Highlights:

  • Modular, flexible structure
  • One basic unit instead of lots of individual power supply units
  • Decoupling as individual or integrated solution on the driver board
  • Large input voltage range (24 VDC to 110 VDC)
  • System voltage up to 12 kVrms between the primary and secondary circuit and between the individual loads
  • Selectable output voltage; standard 12 VDC, 15 VDC and 24 VDC; other output voltages on request

GVA Power Supply System GPSS - Powerful and partial discharge free

The potential-free GPSS enables the powerful power supply of components with different electrical potentials - partial discharge free up to 21kV.

The new compact power supply GPSS 118:

  • Compact 1-channel version
  • Input voltage: 22,8 – 25,2VDC
  • Output voltage (adjustable): 5 - 35VDC
  • Output power (UOUT_min.=20V): min. 30W
  • Isolation voltage: 30kVrms
  • 18kVrms partial discharge free between input and output (<10pC/50Hz)
  • Input voltage monitoring
  • Temperature protection secondary side
  • Short circuit and overcurrent protection 

The high-performance power supply GPSS 221:

  • Modular, flexibly expandable 2-channel platform
  • High partial discharge freedom of min. 21kVrms (<10pC/50Hz)
  • High output power of 150W per channel (600W at 4 channels)
  • Low energy consumption
  • High efficiency of up to 94%
  • Independently controlled channels
  • Low thermal load
  • Internal overload protection
